Our talented alpaca artisans who are Everything Alpaca teach our classes, along with other guest instructors.  We have talents in knitting, crocheting, hand spinning, wet and dry felting, to include nuno and needle felting, weaving, hand dying, drop spindle and more.  See below for classes available at Everything Alpaca.

BRIOCHE KNITTING PART 1

BRIOCHE KNITTING PART 1

Instructor:  Deb Power
Cost: $50  2-hour class 
includes yarn. Bring your own needles, size 6-8

In part 1 you will learn the basics for 1-color brioche - set-up row, BARK and BURP stitches.   This will be the foundation for all Brioche knitting and is the prerequisite to Brioche Knitting, Part 2.

BRIOCHE KNITTING PART 2

Prerequisite:  Brioche Knitting Part 1
Cost:  $60  4-hour class

In this class you will build upon skills learned in part one but now with 2-color brioche knitting.  Learn Italian cast-on, cast-off. The 2-color project will be reversible with one color dominant on one side and the other color dominant on the other side, making this a reversible item.  

BEGINNING HAND LOOM KNITTING

BEGINNING HAND LOOM KNITTING

Cost:  $60 includes loom kit and yarn to do project

Think knitting is too hard to master with 2 needles?  Try the hand-held loom method.  Make a scarf or hat in a few hours watching TV.  Learn the basics of lacing the loom and then "knitting" with the hook tool.  Simple, fast and fun!

Cost:  $60  Materials provided (wool/fiber). After the first class, the instructor will schedule a second class with you 1 to 2 weeks later to continue spinning instruction and then will teach plying

Call to sign up and we will put you in touch with our spinning instructor as to date and time that works for you.  Wheel rental available at $25/week.  Rental price credited toward purchase of wheel should you decide to buy.  

Class size limited to 2 people due to number of rental wheels.  If you have your own weel, you can take the class beyond the 2 person limit.

Cost:  $50, oincludes yarn, hook and pattern

Learn the basics of chain stitch, single and double crochet stitches and others to use in a project you will take home from the class.  

INTERMEDIATE KNITTING

Cost:  $60, includes yarn, pattern.  Bring your own needles, sizes to be determined by project.

Lace patterns, cables and bobbles,  and other advanced techniques to be determined

DIAGONAL PATTERN SCARF

COST:  $50, includes one skein alpaca yarn, set of neecles, free scarf pattern

Learn the basic of casting on, the knit stitch and the purl stitch, casting off and how to read a pattern.
Also learn about various yarn types, needles and other gadgets to make knitting enjoyable and productive.

Cost:  $50, includes 1 skein alpaca yarn. Bring your own needles, sizes 6-8
 
Knit a lovely lace pattern scarf made of soft alpaca yarn, included with the cost of the class.  Must have basic knitting skills of cast on, cast off, knit and pearl stitches. 
SOCKS, TOE UP, TWO AT A TIME

INTERMEDIATE KNITTING

Instructor:  Jonna Toth
COST:  $70 for both sessions plus cost of yarn you select at Everything Alpaca to make the socks. Bring your own needles, size 2 double points, or they can be purchased at Everything Alpaca.  All yarn and needles 10% discount to class participants on the day of the class.  


Learn to make socks from the toe up, allowing you to decide on the length of the sock at the end of your project rather than having to determine that first.  This will be a 2-part class, a week apart.  
BEGINNING WEAVING

Cost:  $90, 2-day class  Includes yarn for project.  Extra $25 rental fee if you use a class loom (Cricket rigid heddle loom) and take it home between classes.  Cost applies toward cost of loom if you choose to purchase it.  

New to weaving? This easy introduction to weaving is just the thing! Using a Rigid Heddle Loom, you will learn how to weave a scarf from warp to fringe.  At the end of the day you will take home your finished scarf.

HAT IN THE ROUND WITHOUT A PATTERN

HAT IN THE ROUND WITHOUT A PATTERN

Instructor:  Deb Powers or Jonna Toth
Fee:  $45, includes yarn.  Bring your own needles sizes 5-7 to match Dona DK weight yarn used for class.  

A lot of times knitters find a yarn they love and then have to figure out what to do with it.  In this class you will learn how to do your own math to make a stockinette stitch hat in the round.

FINGERLESS MITTS CLASS (Knitted)

Instructor:  Jonna or Deb
Cost:  $50, includes yarn.  Bring an assortment of needle sizes - double points or Addi Flexi Flips.  If you know Magic Loop techique, bring the needle size we choose for the project in a 32 to 40-inch length.  We will let you know sizes when we actually schedule this class as it depends on which pattern and yarn we choose for the class.  

Learn to knit a pair of fingerless mitts in the round.  Intermediate level class.  Must know basics - cast on, knit, purl, cast off.
